As a physician and a psychiatrist at New York Presbyterian Hospital—Cornell Medical Center, I have pursued a career focused on understanding the mind and treating its various ailments. I have advanced training in various modalities, including psychopharmacology, diagnostic assessments, cognitive-behavioral therapy, supportive psychotherapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My work over these years has included conducting research on schizophrenia at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, working as an Inpatient Attending physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital—Columbia Medical Center Milstein Hospital as well as teaching and supervising psychiatrists-in-training.
Currently, I am in private practice full-time and am on the voluntary faculty of New York Presbyterian Hospital—Weill Cornell Medical Center where I teach in a continuous case conference class and supervise residents in long-term psychotherapy.
